Explore the Fish Trail

Hull is a waterfront city located on the banks of the River Humber. Fishing is an important part of Hull’s maritime heritage and the ‘Fish Trail’ is a fun way to explore the historic Old Town. Pick up a Fish Trail leaflet from the Hull Tourist Information Centre on Paragon Street and begin your tour at Queen Victoria Square. There are 41 pieces of fish sculpture along the route, some of which illustrate the artist’s sense of humour to great effect. The route is only two miles, so is perfect for adults and children alike.

The Museum Quarter

The Museum Quarter on the High Street offers a fascinating insight into Hull’s historic past. There are lots of old warehouses, merchants’ houses, historic pubs and winding streets. The Streetlife Museum explores the history of transport in Hull. It takes you back in time to the 1800s and there are lots of interactive exhibits. You should also check out the Hull & East Riding Museum for some in-depth history, the Maritime Museum, and Wilberforce House. And lastly, don’t forget to take a tour of the Artic Corsair Trawler, Hull’s last sidewinder trawler.

The Deep

The Deep is a popular sea life attraction with huge fish aquariums, a jellyfish display and shark tunnel. Kids will love their journey into the aquatic world beneath the waves, so if it is raining in Hull, head for the Deep and learn more about aquatic life.

The Humber Bridge

It was once the longest bridge in the world, but even though it is no longer, the Humber Bridge is still an iconic landmark in Hull. It costs very little to cross the bridge by car, but you can easily walk from one side to the other on a fine day and the views from the highest point are fantastic.
